Douglas Fir Tea Altar with Heath Ceramics Tile in Arc 'Bauhaus'

Reclaimed Douglas fir sourced from Northern California with a tile inlay surface featuring Heath Ceramics (Sausalito, CA) tile in the Arc pattern and 'Bauhaus' color-way. The Arc's dual glaze is vibrant cobalt blue color with a matte finish and a gradient fade out into a turmeric yellow background with matte finish.

A round pocket is included to hold the base of your favorite mug or any stackable Hasami Porcelain mugs or small trays.

Intentional altar platform for at-home tea and matcha preparation. Altar can also serve as a designated space for teaware, daily ritual pieces and practices, or to share moments of delight.

Design Inspiration

Inspired by the drive over the Golden Gate Bridge to the docks of Sausalito. The native Douglas Fir evergreens up ahead on the peaks of Mount Tamalpais.

Sourced Materials Spotlight

Heath Ceramics tile is made from a signature, proprietary manganese clay body developed by founder, Edith Heath, combined with custom-formulated natural earth mineral glazes. This low-fire stoneware clay gives the unglazed parts and edges of the tile an earthy, warm brown tone.
